Clann Éireann is disappointed to report that its football Chairman for the past 10 years, Brian Turbitt has regretfully decided to step down from his position due to increasing work commitments. Brian, who recently established his own business in Dublin, feels that at present he is unable to dedicate the time necessary to fulfil the demanding role. In relinquishing his role he was keen to thank all of those who have worked so hard on the football front over the past number of years and has stressed his willingness and desire to remain involved with football in a different capacity.
It comes as no surprise that Brian’s tenure at the helm has coincided with a huge revival in fortune on the football front at the club and during this period he has been a pivotal figure in establishing solid foundations for moving forward into the future with hope.
Brian will be replaced in the Chair by Barrai Mc Conville while Gary Lavery will perform the role of Vice Chairman. We wish both of them success in continuing and building upon the great work of their predecessor.
