Ulster Championships

Conor McMahon won Clann Eireanns first Ulster title of the season in Belfast Sunday just passed. He comfortably disposed of Monaghan opposition on a score line of 21-7, 21-13 thus collecting the Ulster Silver Masters B Singles title. He will now go on to the All-Ireland semi-final stage where he will play the Munster champion with the date set for Saturday 27th March.
Two other titles for Clann Eireann handballers are up for contention this Saturday 13th March in Gortnamona, Belfast. In the Under 21 Singles Colum Shanks takes on Antrim ace Sean Clarke at 2pm. In the Novice Doubles Collie Carville and Michael Shanks take on Down duo Jim Cunningham and Tom O'Connor at 3pm.
All-Ireland Championships
In the Men’s Open Charly Shanks takes on Westmeath’s Robbie McCarthy at the All-Ireland quarter final stage in Kingscourt, Cavan this Saturday at 4pm. The following day he will pair up with James Doyle for the final Round of the All-Ireland Doubles Qualifiers where they will take on Mayo duo Vinnie Moran and Campbell Brennan in Kells, Meath at 2pm.
