First of all, congratulations to Shauna O’Hagan on her nomination for an All Star award. Let’s hope that she goes one step further and wins it, either way her outstanding county performances have been recognised and it’s a great fillip for both herself and her Clann Eireann team mates as they prepare for their Ulster semi-final clash with Donaghmoyne.

Last week the Ladies Senior team travelled to Lacken, Co. Cavan, for a first round Ulster Championship clash. After a slow start, when the local team raced into a 3 point lead, the team settled into the task before them and quickly overhauled their hosts and went on to win fairly comfortably. No need to tell the ladies that a similar start against Donaghmoyne, in the semi, will prove a lot harder to pull back. Nevertheless, the team are playing some great football, allied with a fierce determination to succeed and their semi final clash with current champions Donaghmoyne promises to be a titanic struggle.
The match is fixed for Donaghmoyne, which is close to Carrickmacross, on Sunday(11/10/09).
