Christmas is, for most, a joyous time of year and we can sometimes forget just how lucky and blessed we are with having the simple things such as food, presents and family in our everyday lives.
Unfortunately there are those who are not afforded these things and our club is currently trying to collect some items with which we can help the homeless ease their burdens.
There is no time when being homeless is acceptable but at this time of year, in particular with the bitterly cold weather, it would be great if we could count on your generosity to help us help those less fortunate.
If anyone is able to help with items from the list below it would be greatly appreciated.
Items can be left in the upstairs of our social club UP TO AND INCLUDING Sunday 28th December and, if needed, we will be able to collect items from you personally. If you wish to avail of this PLEASE leave a private message on our Facebook page and we will arrange a suitable time to collect.
Socks – Male/Female
Underwear – Male/Female
Deodrant – Male/Female
Pyjamas – Male/Female
Track bottoms – Unisex, small and medium
The smallest bit of help can make a massive difference and whilst we would prefer if you could provide something from the list above, we can also accept monetary donations, which will be delivered directly to the Welcome Organisation in Belfast who operate a drop in centre for the homeless as well as street outreach services to rough sleepers.
MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE FROM EVERYONE AT THE CLUB
